I like to think that through my two and a half years of riding, I have become less of an amateur rider and more of an amateur motorcycle connoisseur. I know that I have learned a lot about old motorcycles, their technology, and the evolution of the modern motorcycle, and while there are many riders who have more experience, knowledge, and financial backing, I think I am off to a pretty good start. So I ride a 2017 Yamaha Fz-I(the one with fuel injection;and fortunately not the ABS variant)
according to most enthusiasts ,one of the best bikes to start with especially on the street.
If I have to put it in a simple way, riding a motorcycle in the real world is never excluded from the experience of travelling. There are no cell phones; most bikes don`t have stereo sets or radios to distract us. We can smell the world we travel through, feel the wind buffet us, hear the sound of traffic; we are aware of environmental relationships, of the road conditions, and of our surroundings. No matter the capacity of the motorcycle the experience of riding is always and has been vulnerable. Vulnerable, to both the physical and emotional realities of the world.
We ride in the world, never merely past it. Motorcycles are not our shells, they are our transport.
On a motorcycle, you cant be reached by a cell phone. Without special equipment, you cant even hold a conversation with your passenger(if you can shout through the wind ..). You're alone, you're unprotected, you're not one of the crowd. You're alone with your thoughts, in a Zen-like bubble of consciousness. No one tells you to how they want you to ride , change the radio station . Its only when they enjoy the silence ,do they enjoy the ride.

You look, you think and you ride.
Motorcycles are about control. Subtle changes in body position, a slight motion of the wrist, a casual shift in the location of elbows and knees - all of these affect the ride, the lean angle, the power applied to the wheels.
To ride a motorcycle is to apply your entire body to the act of riding. Everything the rider does has a result. You cannot ride and not be aware of how you sit, how your arms are flexed, the position of your shoulders or your legs.
To ride is to remember your body, to use it. To ride is to manage a vehicle and its resources.
Every motorcycle is a work of art, some breath-taking in their sheer elegance. The only cars that can even come close to a bike in aesthetics and performance are European sports cars(Ducati being the Lamborghini of motorcycles , MV Agusta being the Ferrari , BMW well ....BMW).
These machines vary from company to its purpose. You got your Track tools the fully -faired , aerodynamic Super sport bikes that tear up the asphalt (....and your eardrums) mainly focused on speed and endurance and not so much on comfort and leisure. These bikes have an aggressive seating position intended for the "Racing posture", so if you just started on motorcycles or if you love your back a lot ,then you might want to look someplace else. Sport nakeds are much better an option considering that they weigh lesser have a bit less power (but more torque) and easy to move around {especially in this damned traffic!} They usually share the same engine as their plastic covered sisters{no pun intended} but tuned a little bit sober. There are more exotic varieties
of motorcycles on this planet to name a few; Cruisers, those gigantic mammoths on the street with those gigantic hillbillies riding them , Adventure bikes, the tall dark and silent ones(well...not all of them) ..and everyone`s favorite Dirt bikes. {you can read about it in more detail in Reviews,Comparos and the explained.... }
Motorcycles give you an excuse to look bad-ass and rebellious , motorcycle fashion is a trend its own ; the way men and women look in leather, the lean look of a sports bike rider in a full body suit, the rebellious look of a cruiser owner all dressed in black. It's about a crafted stylishness that's at once casual and formal. Riders form their own tribes, identified by their dress code as much as their vehicles. How you look is part of why we ride.
Motorcycles are your ticket to Any gathering of riders, a place where strangers(who are as obsessed with their machine as you are) talk animatedly about their interests and their bikes(of course if they don`t about talk that......). Drawn together because of one common interest, motorcyclists have a basic underlying respect for anyone else who rides. Sure there are brand and style loyalties among riders, but the fact that you ride makes you welcome at almost any motorcycle event. And you never have to defend your passion among riders. They already know.
motorcyclists are not so stupid. Responsible, mature and intelligent riders keep their top speeds and wheelies to the racetrack, they don`t endanger others and show off. They don`t need to. A real motorcyclist doesn`t need to do stupid,irresponsible,life-threatening "stunts" to draw attention to him- or herself(cause it doesn't matter what cooks between your legs). The act of riding is all he or she needs.
Nevertheless , motorcycles as fun as they are , they're a lot more dangerous than any other form of transport(on the road that is...). Any small hit to bike can instantly cause an imbalance to the rider and throw him/her into a fatal crash. Google it. Motorcycle accidents have been the most fatal and in some places, are the most accidents. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), you are 37 times more likely to die in a motorcycle accident than a car accident .
motorcycle drivers face dangers out of their control — and they accept that risk every time they mount a bike.
If you've never ridden, you can't comprehend. But once you try it, you're hooked for life.
